The
new library at the Grand Street Settlement Day Care Center.
The display
of books invites young readers.
Margarita
Rosa, Executive Director of the Grand Street Settlement, welcomes
the audience to the library opening.
Ms. Toon of
the Day Care Center and Mrs. Jackman of the Brooke Jackman Foundation
cut the ribbon at the ceremony.
The children
sang holiday songs as well as their ABC's for the audience.
The library
not only provides a comfortable spot for an eager reader, but
also a place where parents can read to their children. It is vital
that listening skills be developed as early as possible to ensure
reading readiness.
